The Golden Age

A developing series of ten original works inspired by the visual language of Hollywood’s Golden Age.

Each painting begins with the characters, colour, typography and atmosphere of a classic film, then becomes something entirely new through VetroScope — oil, precision-cut vinyl and shadowbox glass.

The series moves between Riviera glamour, noir shadow, fashion and Technicolor spectacle.

At the heart of every VetroScope work is a process of craftsmanship, precision and depth.

An oil painting on canvas is paired with reverse-applied vinyl on glass, separated by space inside a custom shadowbox frame.

The result is a contemporary object in which painting, graphic design and cinematic imagery occupy the same frame — and shift with light and viewing angle.
